about the author

When Michelle was three and a half, whilst out with her mother watching the local carnival, they proceeded to cross the road whilst the traffic was stationary. A coach drove backwards, resulting in Michelle being crushed against a car. She sustained severe brain damage and other injuries. She was not expected to live, so to survive and be able to write poetry is nothing short of amazing.

about the book

The poems in this engaging collection cover such topics as the seasons, the perils of overindulging during those seasons (as well as at other times), politics, religion, travel, the obvious superiority of cats over mere humans, and the simple, timeless virtues of honesty, sacrifice and charity. No matter the subject, the poet’s sincerity, humour and intriguing view of human nature always shine through.
